Hydebeck Katharina at Cairnstorm   'Hydebeck Katharina at Cairnstorm' - aka Kat - was born on 27.07.2004. Bred by Louise Pinkney [Hydebeck] she is out of 'Hydebeck Emily Puds' (TOP IW Brood Bitch 2006) by Ann Macauley's [Gartlove] 'CH Gartlove Ghleannkyle' (Best of Breed & Hound Group 4 @ Crufts 2004). Kat arrived at Cairnstorm, aged 8 weeks, in September 2004. She is an extremely well balanced, happy, loving girl and she has proven herself to be a wonderful brood bitch, producing 2 super quality litters. She is incredibly intelligent & very demanding. She will work many things out for herself, often by studying how it is done and then doing it! During her time in the ring, from 13 shows, she won   * 4 x 1st, 1 x 2nd, 5 x 3rd, 2 x Res & a VHC.   * Reserve Best Bitch @ IWC Open 2005   * Franshaw Trophy - BOS Junior @ IWC Open 2005   * Brood Bitch Trophy @ IWC Champ 2007   We are particularly proud that she won 'Reserve Best Bitch' at the Irish Wolfhound Club Open Show in November 2005, under breed specialist judge Kathy Goodall, from the Junior Class at just 15 months of age!     However, showing is not Kat’s favourite thing so she had a break in 2006 for maternity duties, which she did enjoy! In August 2006 Kat gave us our F Litter; 11 gorgeous puppies sired by 'Culkeeran Chase'; from which we kept 2 puppies - Cairnstorm First Edition & Cairnstorm Florence May. Kat resumed her show career in 2007, with several place wins at Championship Shows, but her heart was just not in it & consequently we retired her from the ring at the end of that year. In February 2009 Kat gave us our V litter; 6 beautiful puppies sired by 'Hunacres Klark Gable'; from which we kept Cairnstorm Vermillion via Hunacres who will be shown in partnership with Gable's owner/breeder Sue Wilkinson.    Heart Checked Clear - 05.10.2008, 20.09.2009, 15.10.2010, 14.10.2011, 28.10.2012, 05.10.2013 & 12.10.2014
